COURTLAND CEMETERY
ATLANTA, CASS COUNTY, TEXAS
LOCATION: From Hwy 59 & 96 intersection in Queen City, go west on
Hwy 96 2.0 miles to Courtland cemetery sign on left. Turn left to
church & cemetery. Courtland community was in existence as early as
1845. Possibly known as the Old Cherokee settlement because of the
Dobbs & Morgans who came from Cherokee Co., GA.
Cemetery was read north to south by Martha Young & Bobby Prator 15-
FEB-1994. Updated by Martha Young O5-MAR-1997
The oldest known grave: ROW 18
WARNEL James N. 17-JUL-1813 23-SEP-1854
